|Kraig||I have a JD 4020 that looses hydraulic pressure when the clutch is engaged. The fluid and filters have been changed and the two screens cleaned.
|ross||I am guessing that it is a syncro range transmission and it is an early model 4020. Thats what happens on early model 4020's. When you step on the clutch the transmission pump stops turning and you run out of oil in the main pump. How fast does it run out of oil?
|chance||like said when using the hydraulics stay off the clutch, while on the clutch the pump has a small resovoir that it can only pump from, once empty there is no hyrdualic pressure
