||Hi, after about 1 hour of mowing my deck automatically shuts itself off and will not turn back on. I beleive it may be one of the following: switch, time delay module, or PTO/clutch. After the mower sits and cools off awhile it works again. What do yuo think?
||Mark - I doubt it's the TDC module. It could be the field coil in the PTO clutch is weak, causing it to pull too many amps. May be the battery is weak or the charging system is not up to par. Heck, it could even be the circuit breaker going on the fritz. I don't suppose you have the tech manual. It could be something as simple as the air gap setting on the PTO clutch. Gap should be set at 0.018". There are three or four spring loaded nuts around the perimeter of the clutch. Adjacent to each, is a slot in the side. Slip a feeler gage into a slot, and adjust the adjacent nut to affect a slight drag. Repeat at the remaining locations, then do each twice again. If that does not resolve the problem, have the battery checked under a load. Post back and we can go from there if the problem continues. - Dave
||Thanks Dave for all the help! Regards, MArk.
