|Rick Pelletier||My tractor calls for type F transmission fluid. i've been told it can be substituted with amalie all trac 245 hydraulic fluid. does any one have any thoughts on this. I currently use this in other equipment where the drive and hydraulic system are a common sump. This would also mean i could stock one less fluid.
|Dave||Rick - Deere currently recommends their Low Viscosity HyGard for the 318. If the fluid you are asking about meets the spec for JD LV HyGard, then go for it. If it does not, I would hesitate. - Dave
