I have a John Deere STX38. It mows good but after a few minutes it will shut off. It acts like it needs gas, but I just replaced the fuel filter. If I wait a feew minutes it will turn on again an work a little while longer and shut off again. Any ideas.
|Dave||Saul - Sounds typical of a bad coil. Can also be caused by a fuel tank cap that has a plugged vent. Next time it stalls out, loosen the gas cap and see if that helps. Otherwise, I'd look at the coil. - Dave
|Jon Bishopp||I had the same problem...mower would run awhile, warm up then quit like it was out of gas. The coil solved the problem...good luck!
