2002 JD4200 hydro won't start

Virgil Rybczynski my 4200 won't start...checked fuses, battery, cables, ignition switch,et al.Using it one day and shut it off in warm weather...next day nothing. Starter will not engage. Seat switch trips fuel solenoid but nothing at the starter. It appears that I have voltage on the hot lead of the starter... Any ideas or news of a recall...only 380 hrs of light use...garaged 90% of the time.
ross First make sure it is not in gear and try bypassing the starter. If it engages and tries to start then you have some part of the starting circuit bad. If the starter doesn't turn over then you have a bad solenoid possibly.
Virgil Rybczynski I finally got the tractor to start...had to jiggle the F/R pedals (hydro) to get engine to turn over and start. Got that advice from a former JD owner, who by the way now owns a Kubota and loves it. The dealer whom shall remain anonymous, suggested that they would change the starter for $783.00 but would not troubleshoot the unit. I am glad that I was patient. Funny thing now is that I have very little hyd.pressure. The pump is cavitating. I will check the adj.on the neutral switch and change the filter.
