|Paul||I recently rebuilt the Kawasaki engine in my John Deere 160. It starts okay, but it revs too high at wide open throttle. Does anyone have any suggestions?
|ross||You need to adjust the high idle. There is a plate on the left side of the engine with two bolts holding it onto the block. With the engine running loosen the bolts util the rpm's slow down. If you read the Tech. Manual for it, it says with the engine off put the throttle at wide open and insert a drill bit into the plate to keep the choke adjusted correctly.
