880 diesel in oil

Sherman Mabey I have a 880 swather with a 53EA-107356T Diesel motor. Have installed a valve to turn off diesel to fuel pump when engine isn't running.
Changed oil and run swather for about 4 hours. checked dip stick and level had increased about a half inch.
any help would be appreciated.

ross Crack the drain plug and see what comes out first. If there is antifreeze getting into the oil it will come out first. If you don't see any liquid come out then smell it to see if its diesel fuel. If it is diesel then the pump seal is probably out.
