|carter||bought 4010 gas tractor at auction, tractor runs smooth and strong for about 45 min to an hour mowing hay and starts to sputter and want to die.
checked to make sure i still had spark and i did,but the engine seems to be starving for fuel.
tractors starts right back up and runs for another 5-10 minutes and sputters and dies again.
has new coil and has regular distrib,no points.fuel tank has no debree in it,all fuel lines are not abstructed.replaced fuel pump also.cam lobe thjat runs the fuel pump looks fine and creates plennty of lift for the pump. could the fuel solenoid on the carb be causing this after the engine heats up?would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions.
|Brewster||Yes it could, and so could a clogged vent in your gas cap.
