PTO Won't engage when warm

Greg I disassembled Front PTO clutch clean it up and checked the coil for electrical continuity, it checked out OK. Starting 318 and turing the pto switch when cold works every time,as 318 warms pto switch on dash lights up but does not engage.I ask the local JD Dealer what could it be? He said check coil when its warm or hot.I made .018 adjustment between the rotor and armature.Must be a bad coil?? Or could it be TDC module.
Dave Greg - When you made the adjustment, did you do it when the PTO clutch was cold? If you did it when hot, let it cool completely and reset. Also, did you adjust each nut three or four times? If you just set the feeler into a slot and made a single ajustment at each nut, chances are the air gap is still too wide.

Other than that, it could either be a weak coil in the PTO clutch, or yes, the very expensive TDC module. - Dave
