|ljb||i have an 8n tractor that was converted to 12 volt.i want to instal a new ignition switch.the ignition switch thats on the tractor now has 3 screws on it to connect wires to. on this old switch one of the wires from the switch is connected to the ballast resistor on one side of it the other side of the resistor the wire goes to the top of the coil.the second wire from the old ignition switch goes to the resistor assembly.the third wire from the old ignition switch goes to the alternator.after i disconnect these 3 wires from the old ignition switch where do i reconnect them to?where do i connect the new ignition switch to it has 2 wires coming from it 1 yellow other wire black? i hope someone can help. thanks
|Bob G||Do a ggogle search for 8n ford wiring diagrams. look for a 12 volt one for front mount dist since you have a ballast resistor. one wire from battery and one to the ballast resistor.
|BobV_KS||The wire from switch to alternator
Does this wire go to the big post on back of the alternator, or to a plug on the outer rim of the alternator?
