1995 Massey Ferguson 240 cranks but won't start after replacing fuel filters
|Butch Pfeifer||The tractor quit running and I replaced the fuel filters(diesel). It will crank but won't start tried priming with manual pump. Do I have to bleed the lines?
|thepumpguy||Yes you have to bleed the air out of the system.
There is a bleed screw by the name plate..double headed screw..5/16 wrench to bleed..
BUT if you have the 3 pc filter head.. did you put the oring ON THE FILTER?? IT GOES UP IN the filter head..NOT ON the filter.. you probably choked off the fuel?? its a VERY COMMON mistake.
