|Kris Wilson||hello can someone please help me, are the gears the same in 4 speed 9n and golden jubliee 4 speed??? just the shaft is longer
|mark sr||I thought the 9N had a 3 speed tranny ??
|Jim L||Hi Kris, welcome to our little forum. It's true what Mark says, the 9N (and 2N) have a 3 speed transmission. But the 8N does have a 4 speed transmission and according to my parts manual the gears are mostly the same with the exception of the reverse idler gears. It looks like the 8N reverse idler has 23 teeth where the NAA has 27. Good luck with what your trying to do.
