Ford 601 transmission
|Bob Cole||I have a tractor that the shift lever works vertical rather than in a h patern ? I have three 601 s and a jubilee . Only one has this odd shifter.
Have you seen this type . Is there anything particular to it.
|Frank||Hello Bob, welcome to the SSB tractor forum.

Ford only offered them for a couple of years. Then they went back to the old style 4 speeds, then onward to the 3 and 4 speed transmissions with hi/lo.
