Ford 1000 (1600) Leak From Shifter Boot

Derrick I have a 1000 tractor (similar to a 1600). Just started leaking quite a bit of hydraulic fluid from middle shifter boot while running. Anyone know what might be causing this?
sixbales Howdy Derrick, welcome to the SSB tractor forum.

There are seals on each shift lever under the transmission cover, held in place by a spring and a cotter pun. I suspect one of your seals has a leak.

sixbales Derrick,

In looking further at your shift lever seals, I believe the boots on top serve as your seals. The seals under the cover are a feature of the Ford 1700 tractor. Sorry about that.
