is it 46 or 12 volts?
by spark resistor I assume you mean the ballast resistor.
Check for fuel flow thru the carburetor by removing the plugin the bottom of the bowl and measuring the fuel flow. it should fill a pint jat in 2 to 3 minutes!
what did you gap the points to? Front mount dist should be 0.015"
