I have an 8n that has an industrial engine in it. Mine has a magneto on it but it is a side mount dist block.
To rebuild it all you really need to know is what you already know. That it is a front mount block. Then when you get into it, you will find out what it has for sleeves. It may not have any sleeves.
Mine had an ID plate behind the cylinders on top of the bell housing.
