I wonder if it would be possible to solder a plate on end of switch where the rod pushes. Maybe it would take up the slop in the bellcrank? Just thinking. If you have the old switch might give it a try. I am not sure but I think to get into the bellcrank area the whole top of trans has to come off. That said I don;t have a 9 or 2n.
