Hello all, just purchased a 2610D there is a smaal knob located just behind the shifter.Does anyone know of its purpose and if so how is it used. Thanks

Danny, Thank you for the info. Do you know how it is used? I was told that the C in the shift pattern was a creeper gear, is this knob used along with the shift position C as when I move it, it just returns to where it was.

If you want to hear something odd (and who doesn't), the factory manual for my 226 has considerable detail on using its creep gear. But my tractor doesn't have one.

You can't engage the creeper gear unless you pull up on that "knob" and push your gear shifter forward. Its like a safety switch for lack of better words so you don't go down past gear 1 into Creeper my accident. I have yet to find a use for a creeper gear.

jeremy, i did not know that and i,ve had a yannie for 6yrs!wow. thanks for the info .i'll give mine a try tomorrow just to see if it works.i use low gear when backing into my barn.does the creeper work in reverse? russ

The intended use: on your own, you have to back into an implement to attach it. Rather than jumping on and off the seat as the tractor gets closer, you back it up in creep speed while off the tractor, and move the implement into mating position. Preferably without slipping and falling.
