blow-by
| Cory | I'm referring to a 2 cylinder ym2000. How much blow-by is too much? or how much, if any, should be expected on an older, but sound, diesel engine? Thanks. -Cory

| norm | Blowby is measured by crankcase pressure. There should be a vacuum, (neg. pressure), in your crankcase as measured by a "manometer". Google it, buy or build yourself one and measure it.

| Al | Q: "I have an employee who farts. How much is too much?" A: "A measureable amount is normal. As long as the work gets done, just ignore it." |
| lens | It is too much when it affects starting or power.
