Just purchased a YM2210
| jeremy | I just bought this tractor yesterday. I am going to change the oil in it before i use it, how much engine oil does the YM2210 hold? I have a manual ordered but would like to change it tomorrrow.

| norm | They all take about a gallon, more or less. Fill to the full mark.

| jeremy | Thanks Norm. Let me pick your brain on a few more things. I also have a 3cyl YM2001, that's what im comparing to. 1.Is it normal to see the exhaust fumes while running the tractor? reason I ask on my YM2001 I don't see anything ever coming from the exhaust, on the YM2210 I can see a "faint" smoke or fumes?? almost clear but if you look at a certain angle you can see it, does that have to do with a 2cyl vs. the 3 cyl? 2. On the YM2210, how can i check to make sure the dummy lights work? The charge light comes on when i turn the key, how can i check the oil and temp? I don't trust a light. 3. If the temp light doesn't work by chance is there other signs to watch for in case it were to run hot? 4. The overflow bottle for the radiator is slam full, the "full" line is about in the middle of the bottle, so the guy I bought it from has it to full i suppose? should I empty down to the FULL line? That's a start. thanks |
