Tow trailer

TVilberg I have a YM1300D and a small 4x4 box trailer for hauling firewood. I attach the trailer to the tractor using a 3-point hitch, drawbar and pin, but when going down hill the arms raise and the trailer dumps. How do I keep the 3-point hitch arms from raising.
Paul G You will need some 1/4" or 3/8" flat steel arms that go from a spare hole up at the 3point to the ends of the drawbar. Check to see how much room you have at the drawbar between the pin and the 3 point arm. That will be the thickness of the steel arms. You can make them yourself. Have them cut to the right length and drill some large holes and you got it.
norm Either buy a fairly complicatred rig from a tractor supply place or hook to the standard draw bar.
Al You should be able to control the hitch height on the fly. Or use the drawbar. It's under the hitch, unless it's missing.
norm "You should be able to control the hitch height on the fly."

That would require down pressure.

Al You might get enough down pressure by positioning the heaviest load at the front of the wagon, or by attaching a weight to the front area of the wagon or its tongue.
