YM2020D
| David Bryan | Have a YM2020D that has a slow transmission leak. Leaks about center tractor where the front driveshaft covers join. I've not disassembled it yet but assume there's a seal that needs to be replaced. I need to add some transmission fluid. Can tell me what type of transmission fluid to use? Thanks. |
| norm | No way to know what's in there, but JD303 Hydraulic/transmission fluid, or equivalent, is usually recommended. If you don't know what's in it, I recommend you replace it and clean the pickup screen.

| lloyd bryan | Will do. Thanks.

| David Bryan | Started thinking...Should the driveshaft casing (4x4) contain transmission fluid? Wondering if I have a bad seal in the transmission. I don't have experience with tractors; my knowledge is limited to cars from the 60's & 70's. |
| Danny | There should be no oil in the driveshaft cover, if it is hydraulic oil then you have a drop box seal leaking. If it is 90 wt then you have a front diff. seal and/or O-ring leaking. Danny |
