What year is my Yanmar 147

Mike Wright I just bought a YM147. I'd like to know what year it was manufactured. The serial# is 147-20196. Can you tell me how to find out? THANKS!
Al No way that I know, because the serial number does not indicate its year. You might find out the production period, which could span 5 - 10 years. If the original paint was green it predates 1980.
