3 point hitch
| Chris Tamm | Hi, I just got an 80s Yanmar 155D tractor. Everything is in excellent condition but the three point hich doesn't go up or down. I have a manual for the machine but it doesn't give much info on the 3 point hitch. What is the most straightforward way to trouble shoot the problem? Thanks for any help, Chris |
| Al | Welcome! Look for a valve control around the seat area. Possibly a black plastic round knurled knob around 1.5" diameter. If it's turned all the way in (the lock position), turn it back out a bit. Next step is to try the rear hitch troubleshooting guide on the Hoye Tractor site. |
| Gary Rose | If your tractor comes with a screen filter for the hydraulic fluid, the screen may be plugged. You will have to remove the filter screen and clean it good. Also make sure you have clean hydraulic fluid in your tractor. Gary

| Bruce | My 155D has a tee handle on the valve, so it may not be plastic on yours. When you drain the oil, if you want to change ALL of the transmission/hydraulic fluid, make certain that you open all three drain plugs. One is on the bottom of the transmission, the other two are not mentioned in my manual. They are on the bottom of the rear axle assembly. |
