Yanmar 1500D Fuel Injection Pump

Fuel Injector Pump-dissassembled for reasons of bad copper packing,which is part of valve assy, if anybody has ever been in an injector pump you would know my problem.After re-assy,kept all the timing-I thought-in order w/marks on fuel rack and plunger barrel gear-after assy it blows heavy gray smoke-no idle-uncontrollable RPM-I re-dis-assy,tried again-got idle and running only at 2000 RPM.I am at a loss with calibration specs. I buy my parts from Hoye Tractor-they have a service manual for 49.99.Maybe someone has some thoughts or ideas on this problem. Thanks

You could talk with Aaron (Hoye's number is on their site) about trying a fix, or shipping it to them for checking. Getting inside certain components is not ordinarily considered a DIY job.
