Oliver Super 55 Hydraulic Filter Cartidge
|jGentlemanFarmer||Greetings Oliver Nation:
As you might tell from my subject, Mr. Oliver is running well, and roars like a fighter plane. I am now working through the rest of the systems, and the hydraulics are next.
I cannot seem to find a replacement cartridge for the hydraulic oil filter that sits on the top left of the transmission case (under the seat). I ordered what seemed like the right application from a supplier, but it is dead wrong. Any input on a source for this part would be appreciated.
|oliver fan||It sounds like you have an early super 55. You can go to NAPA and get a hydraulic filter for a Super 66-77-88 or 660-770-or880. They all use the same hydraulic filter as the early super 55's. That same filter is also used as the final filter in the Diesel fuel system.
|Gentleman Farmer||I have found the proper filter, after three different specialized ag parts outlets failed. It is a CarQuest filter 86110. It is identified as a fuel filter, but it is the correct size for the housing on the top left side of the hydraulic resevoir. You do have to reuse the spring, but all the replacement o-rings are included. It is current production, and costs about $12.50.
