What do I have?

sam lewis I have an Oliver but dont know what it is. All I can find on it is Spec # VAG/2/OA and serial # C00522. The C in front could very well be a zero. I am new to the Oliver family and am trying to find out what I have so I can start ordering parts to get this thing back to operational condition. Thank you all for any help you can give me. Sam.
oliver fan Those numbers do not match up to any Oliver tractors built in the United States. Where are you located?
sam lewis It says on the data plate "Made in England" I am located in Richmond, Va. The guy I got it from got it from his dad. He says it is an Oliver. It does have one Oliver gauge on it. He says he has the manual and the hood but I dont have them yet. Did Oliver make anything in England? Again I am new to the Oliver(if that is what I have)family so I just dont know. Thanks, Sam
oliver fan David Brown (in England) built two different models for Oliver. The models were the 500 and 600, and were built and sold in 1961 to 1963. The only place to get parts will be from a CaseIH dealer, as Case bought David Brown in the late 1970's. The Oliver 500 is almost the same as the David Brown 850, And the Oliver 600 is about the same as the early Davis Brown 990.
