||On my 2-155 tractor, when I engage the clutch, the tractor starts to jump quite a bit meaning that the clutch is grabbing. This happens only some of the time. I had the tractor apart not too long ago for other reasons and the clutch looked to be in good shape. Is there a way I can make any adjustments to the clutch without taking the motor out again? Or, what could be causing the clutch to grab? If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate to hear from you. Thanks
||Easy. Check the service manual and adjust the clutch to the correct free play. If it still chatters, you likely got some grease/oil on the plate/flywheel when it was apart. Nothing you can do but take it apart, check the assembly carefully and if everything is OK, clean everything with solvent and put it all back together.
||You may have one or more broken springs in the clutch, or uneven wear on the clutch plate. Check it out before you break something else. Good luck.
