77s & 88s

Mike Cullison Just bought myself a little 10 acre gentleman's farm and I want to buy an older tractor to work it.

I've always wanted an older Oliver and am interested in the 77 and 88 models.

Can anyone give me a brief history of each model with info on the years they were made, horsepower, etc. Oh, yeah, and please give me the word on whether diesel or gas is the most reliable model.

Thanks in advance for any help.
