Pierre Hi, I own a 550 1961 with a gas engine
The dip stick is 10 1/8 long
the full mark is 8 from top
the add mark is at 9 1/2 from top
if you have any question like valve clearance, point gap or something else just e-mail me.
I have the user manual of this tractor.

Frank Godfrey I have a 1964 550. I just measured the oil dipstick. The overall length of the stick is 10 1/8 inches measured frome the inside of the cap to the tip. The add oil mark is 5/8 inch from the tip and the High mark is 2 1/8 inches from the tip with the working range in between.
