|Tim Bradford||Having trouble finding a model number. I have found what appears to be dates stamped on the block is 1-3-51. on the PTO gear box is 5-23-51. On the trans is 206873 CL-XL. This is my first attempt at a restoration of a tractor so I need some help to positively I.D. it. and find a repair manual.
|Russ||As you sit on the tractor looking forward:
On the right below where the belt pulley goes and between it and the rear axle on the side of the transmission case you will find a tag that has the model type and serial number. On the opposite side toward the front you will find a 2nd tag which is the description and serial number for the engine. These are smart dates and will tell you the year each was built.
