MF 240 diesel throttle linkage

Tommy Crocker Just got my 240 from the shop after a new clutch and crankshaft installation. The engine will not return to idle when the dash lever is returned to idle or when I take my foot off the pedal. I have to pull the foot pedal up with my toe to get it to idle. The spring is in place on the pedal. The hand lever is in the slot and the foot pedal in the hole in the linkage. Is this correct? Any help is appreciated.

wombat Must be fouling somewhere. ie either at the hand throttle, foot pedal of in the injector pump. Try disconnecting the foot pedal ie remove the pin near the air filter where the foot pedal linkage meets the hand throttle. The linkage is adjusted on the other side. I have a MF135 manual and assume it is similar and have just adjusted the linkages on a MF135 I am rebuilding.
