||I understand from all of the spec sheets that I have seen that the correct firing order for a Ferguson 20 is 1,3,4,2. My problem is that I’m not sure where the “1” position is on my distributor cap. Looking at the cap as it sits on the tractor, the 4 holes form a square, top-left / top-right / bottom- right / bottom-left. Can someone tell me how to put the wires on the proper holes?
||The top left should be number 1 but the distributor can be put in so it could be any of the 4 I was a Massey Ferguson mechanic & have found #1 in any of the 4 holes. The best way to tell is remove the # 1 plug turn the engine while holding your finger over the # 1 plug hole when the compression blows out around you finger you have just past # 1. the fireing order is 1-3-4-2 the distributor turns counter clockwise Hope This helps Big Dean
||Thank you, sir.
That'll do it!
