MF35 lift lever problem

MF35 lift lever will not stay in raised position. when released it springs to down position. Does this with tractor running or not. Lift action works good, just have to use lock set to hold lift lever in a particular position. I owned other 35's and they didn't do this. Any idea what is wrong?

Jerry if you look closely at the lift lever you will see a screw with a spring behind it. This puts tension on 2 washers which will more than likely be worn through. Replace the washers and adjust the spring tension to the tension you want.....Regards...Geoff
