MASSEY F40 TRANSMISSION FLUID
| bob | I need to change fluid in transmission. I have read to use GL1 mineral oil but people say that GL5 90 wt will work better.. need help

| GEEBEE | I would stick with the 90wt GL1, i don't believe the GL5 is compatable with your system

| Fred Hart | I think the other oil you mentioned would work for the hyd system. But you have bronze bearings in the transmission and you need the GL-1 to protect and properly lube those bearings. My TO-35, 1957 model is 52 years old and still runs fine, it has never had any oil in trans/hyd but GL-1. |
