MF 255 left step
| Doug Foss | My students can not install the left step on a 255. Does any one have a picture of the step mounting. They may have misplaced a bracket. We have one bracket that mounts to the transmiision case but the bracket interferes with oil filter line and the step holes do not align. Thanks for any help.

| Lrn | If you don't get a pic, I can send one but it would be a few days. If it's like mine, the steps were often bent and when you take them off, they take on a shape of their own. If it's close, it may just take some bending. Did you have a right step? They didn't swap sides did they?

| Gale Hawkins | The predrilled holes did not fully match the OEM step I just installed on our 265 (same step) factory step I got at the dealer's last month. The most inside hole matched so I put a bolt in it and found a small nut that just fit in the predrilled step holes and use a bit just smaller than the hole in the nut as a pilot for drilling two new holes. It is my quess they changed hole pattern somewhere in the 255, 265 and 275 series years of production. |
