mac	i am trying to find out agood modern oil for my 1960 diesel 35 the old recomended oil was 30w, that was 40/50 years ago, i take oil has improved since then, an stright 30w is somtimes hard to get,would a15w/40 standered diesel van oil be ok to use as this is easy to get in any store . mac
Jeff Z.	Yes a 15w-40 will be ok. Shell Rotella T is a brand of choice. If you read your regular motor oil specs alot are rated for Diesel. Look for API Code CJ-4 CI-4/SM or CI-4 Plus on any oil that you may consider buying.
mac	Thanfs Jeff z for your prompt response it is good to known that the standered van diesel oil will do the tractor igot some oil that has select sae 15/40 petrol / diesel API= SL/CF AECA= A3-B3-B4 , Would this be ok the numbering seems to be differentto the ones you discribe. MAC

Dwayne McClain	I changed the oil in a Massey 135 and the new filter came with an O ring that goes around the top of the filter cover. When I removed the cover, there was not an O ring on it. Now that I have changed the oil, it leaks around the filter cover with the O ring. Any advice??
