MF 135 power steering

Andre Hi fellas,

I just bought an MF135 with 3 cyl perkins diesel, S/N 156756.
It has a front loader.

The power steering works well when I turn right, but it is very hard to turn left, like no power steering.

I lifted the front wheels off the ground, then it will turn easily on either side.

Seller said it could be the PS pump, but I think if only one side fails, then it should be something else. Any ideas what's wrong?

Rick Andre - I had the same issue. Sounds like it is in your steering cylinder. The rack pushes the piston in when you turn to the right and pulls it back when you turn to the left so if something breaks it allows it to push in but not pull back.
Andre Sounds like I need to overhaul the steering box...

thanks!

jesse777 I've seen tractors with wear in the linkage at the steering box that cause this. Notice how it pushes a rod to turn one way and pulls to turn the other. Is there excessive wear/play in one direction?
Jerry what seal it probably bad, is it the one on the pump or one in the torque converter?
