i have a 13.5 riding mower model #25621 30" keeps throwing trans. belt need to know that i am putting it on right. have put on 2 on throwed both. other belt just wore out no problem with pulleys. just getting something wrong with applying it. thanks for any help

it might be that your belt is to long. try putting one on it that is 1 or 2 inch smaller. how much play is in it or room. also on the back side of the tranaxle there should be a bolt hanging down next to the pully that holds the belt on you might need to tieten it up or bend it closer to the pully to make sure it is not jumping off. where is it throughing the belt. off the front pully or the back. if on the front try the same thing on its catch thing/guide

Did you put the recommended twist in the belt at the transaxle pulley? I had the same problem on my '94 18 hp. Craftsman 44" riding mower. The tapered "V" was reversed in the pulley with the wide side in the pulley and the narrow side facing out. Put the twist in the belt...problem solved. charlie3
