| DarthJosh | Anyone have any info on this model Husky ? ? Can't seem to find any commentary regarding this mower - pros / cons ? It is on sale @ Sears for $2k. 22hp Kohler command; 42" cut; it also has the four quide wheels on the deck w/ front roller. Hydro fender shift, with 4.0 gal. tank. Infinite cutting 1.5"-4". I am thinking about going ahead and making the purchase - but wanted some expert opinions first ? ? I don't really want a mower with any wider cut than a 42", I only have about 3/4 of acre of actual zoysia on a slightly rolling yard. I want to keep it cut tight and need it to be as even as possible . Thanks in advance ! |

| Mike B | Josh I bought this model 6 months ago at Sears and it has given me good service. I like the Kohler engine with the spin-off oil filter, the 4 gallon fuel tank, small turning radius and the 12 guage steel blade deck. It can stop the blades from rotating electronically. It is not a popular model and is not even listed on the Husqvarna web site. I suspect only a few of them were made to be distributed through Sears stores. Acquiring accessories for it could be a challenge. I found a double-bagger for it at www.industrialtoolstore.com. Because it appears to be an 'orphan' model and since I have more grass to cut than you do, if I had to do it over again I would consider buying the model YTH2248 because it is recognized by Husqvarna it has a wider cutting width that I appreciate. The bagger accessory for this model is a three-bagger and holds 1/3 more clippings than the two-bagger for the YTYH2242. Also, it should be easier to acquire parts for this model. But if you don't anticipate buying parts for it and only need it for your 3/4 acre lawn, you should be well served with the YTH2242. Mike
