| Brian | After visiting (2) different JD dealers both have recommended different models for my needs. (2) acres, 200 ft driveway for snow blade. Is the LX too small or are they upselling me on the GT? Help.

| Dave | Brian - The LX is a nice "lawn tractor". The GT is a nice "garden tractor". If you can afford the GT, go for it. The frame is larger and stronger. The tires are larger, which makes for a little smoother ride. Two acres does not seem like a lot to mow, until you've done it a few times. A 200 foot drive is rather long by some standards. The GT is going to handle pushing snow a bit better than the LX will. These are not facts, just my opinion. Nonetheless, I hope I've been helpful. - Dave

| Brian | Dave, Thanks for the help -- after growing tired of the John Deere attitude (you should by a John Deere because it is a John Deere) I went ahead and bought a Simplicity. I hope I know what I am doing! The joke of it is that I actually spent more than I would have with JD (got a bigger unit) but I feel like I was treated well and given the due consideration a $6400 purchase deserves. The most I could get from JD was a scrawled number on the back of a business card. Anyway, thanks for the advice.
