Sears, Roebuck 58" wing reel mower approx 1960's

My wife was given this old mower just as a "toy". Not in to bad of shape. Got it running right of and she drove it around the shed a couple times. Problem is: manual that I have doesn't show the linkage connection from the carburetor to the throttle. Any help would be appreciated. Model No 136.8480 electric start

Joe The 1st thing to do is see if you can locate a mod# tag on eng, tractor too old & nothing shown for parts list at sears site, eng may be a lauson(pre tecumseh)tecumseh or briggs,if eng a lauson/tecumseh mod# will probably begin with 143,if a briggs will probably be 500,once you find out eng mfg you can get an L head service manual for eng from local mower shop or ebay, local dealer may also be able to cross ref eng#/eng mfg,the carb linkage & throttle setup will be covered in manual in carb/gov section.
