12 hp b&S carb. linkage idle's high

nick tamm	i have a 12 hp b&s on my MTD 38" i can not get the idle to come down? i need a diagram i think there is a spring or something missing on it it is A walbro carb i think
Joe	You didn't give mod/type #'s of eng,without same have no way of knowing style of eng(L head/ohv)and type of gov/throttle linkage setup,best thing to do is goto ebay & search item# 160368838078,this covers L head/ohv eng,single/2 cyl,on cd will be drawings/text of different style gov,carb & throttle setups and how to adjust(depending on yr of eng briggs may have changed style of throttle plate/linkages,2/more might be shown for your eng) or type briggs manual in search & get paper versions for your eng-pn 270962(L head) or pn 272147(ohv)
max	I would check the wear in the throttle shaft. If it has much wear it will not idle down ,reason sucking air.years ago i had some bushings made to repair them but now i just change out the carb.
