mid mount 420 60in mower

Tom Derrenbacher I have a 60 in mid mount mower . It dose a gob
But I just picked it up used When you mow it wants to clump up the clippings and they roll out the back of mower . I have looked at the bottom the the three hoops that are gone some one has taken them out will this guard help it from clumping I think it might be a vacume shield
