Sears LT1000 (917.271810) 6 sp transaxle
| Ron | The drive belt (engine to transaxle) keeps popping off, especially when changing gears. All keepers are in place along with a new belt. Can the tension pulley be adjusted? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

| rcbe | 1.make sure belt removal/replacement was done per manual: http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0101084.pdf 2. check idler pulleys for no side wobble, etc, including movable idler tension pulley bracket. 3. only install a new OEM belt - aftermarket belts can have a different profile/length/etc. 3. Check that engine pulley/spindle mandrel pulley grooves are free of damage/debris, etc. 4. verify that mower deck is correctly installed. |
