stuck in gear

terry murry riding mower model 40702X92F....stuck in either 2nd or 3rd gear,can not move shifter.can still mow but only in this gear
rcbe might be your clutch/brake linkage is out of adj causing gearshifting to be difficult.. if not, then may be lack of lube or worn parts inside transaxle.
