|jeff kubik||I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can find a diagram on the internet of how the self-propelled cable/lever/assembly goes together on my Craftsman self-propelled mower.
I received the replacement cable from sears, but I am not sure how the assembly goes back together. There are a couple of springs and I am not sure how they "seat" inside the unit. I have tried numerous times to put it back together and have not had any luck.
Thanks for your asisstance and have a great day.
|Doc||Give me the model number of your mower and I may be able to help. The first three digits of the model number identify who made the product for Sears, e.g. 917 is Electrolux (formerly, American Yard Products).
|Jeff Kubik||Model# is 917.377302
Double check you model number I dont find this one in the data base.
|Doc||With the correct model number you can see a parts illustration at:
|jeff kubik||Thanks for the webiste. Unfortunately, there are no diagrams that show how this component/assembly goes back together.
I sent an e-mail to SEARS to see if a diagram/photo even exists of how to put the self propelled cable assembly back together.
I have tried numerous times to put the assembly back together and I cannot. I may have to call a lawn mower repair shop to do it.
I will never buy a Craftsman mower again. I do not think they are made very well--lots of plastic parts, etc.
