Wiring diagram for Murray

Joey Byrd	I have a 12.5 hp murray riding mower model #289707 and was wondering if anyone has a schematic or diagram for the ignition switch, also the carberetor linkage hook up. Thanks
Dennis	You could try downloading an owners manual for your tractor. I don't have a copy of your model, but I do have a manual for a Murray lawn tractor with 12-1/2 hp engine. (Probably would be simular.) IG Terminal #1-violot, to headlights (center terminal) IG Terminal #2-red, to fuse IG Terminal #3-white, to engine stator connector (AC, the side without the diode) IG Terminal #4-yellow, to the mag, and, yellow, to the PTO interlock switch IG Terminal #5-orange, to the chutch/brake interlock switch IG Terminal #6-black, to grounded side of headlights (connects to screwshell), and, black, to grounded side of starter solenoid. As for the carb linkage, you will need to pick up a service manual for the B&S engine. Might be able to find the info at their website: http://www.briggsandstratton.com/bpp_splash.asp Look under: "Engine support & maintenance", "Manuals, videos & books". If if's not in the owners manual, you will probably have to find or buy a service manual.
