| Gaylen Norman | My husband can not find the alternator. Our battery needs to be charged each time we use it. Does anyone know the location so he can check it out. He tried looking in the booklet that came with the mower,but doesn't show location. Thanks for your help. |
| Jack | two wires on right side as you sit on rider,they are red and white and come from under the flywheel,this is called the stator ass'y,red wire charges the battery and the white wire is for your headlites so battery is not drained when lites are on,the stator is under the flywheel,first check the easy stuff first,clean battery cables(both ends) poor ground can cause np charging,deposits on battery posts and cable ends will cause no charging or your stator(charging) is bad

| rifraf | Radio Shack sells a little device to check if battery is charged or if charging system is working it's part 2207110 cost 9.99 in Canada .first check battery without motor running (should be three lights on) then start mower and run fast and check battery (should be four or more lights working . rifraf
