Kubota T1600 Diesel Garden Tractor
| Diane Pastushyn | We recently purchased an ol Kubota T1600 Diesel 2 cyl. hydrostatic garden tractor. We cannot find any leever to put it into 'neutral'. Also, as soon as the engine heats up, it starts shaking violently. What would be the cause and 'fix' to this problem? Lastly, what kind of oil is used in the hydrostatic transmission? Thanks for your help. |
| jm. | Let,s see one thing at a time..There is no nutrual lever. Nutral is achived by placing the foot pedal in the not foward or not reverse position. Otherwise level or in nutural. It is normal for the unit to want to CREEP foward some. Now for the shaking when warmed up. I suspect you have a cylinder not hiting or the engine is missing on one cylinder . Posible causes, bad injector, low compresion, bad fuel ect. Transmission fluid is KUBOTA udt fluid or streight 30 wt oil if udt is not avl. UDT is prefered. |
| Kirk | Another cause could be valve adjustment.
|
| Kirk | Forgot... when the enging warms up the valve adjustment will change, most will close the gap and cause the valves to stay open just enough to cause a miss fire. This would cause a shaking engine. Will also burn the valves after using for a while. |
| Hank | Can't find the fuse on 1990 T1600H diesel. I know where the fuse link is, but can' find the fuse under the instrument panel where the manual shows.
